Case studies
An in-pit, behind-pool cover system with stainless steel
The drive system uses an in-reel motor, with the motor subtly submerged within the roller. We fitted solar gain slats which act as a giant solar panel when the cover is closed. This transfers heat into the pool water, resulting in an effortlessly stylish, economical and ecological solution.
The installation takes a single day once preparation has been carried out.
Renovating material cover in tracks
Outdoor domestic pool with cover in tracks. The material had begun to tear, and the system needed a service and overhaul.
We successfully removed the damaged material and replaced with a new, bespoke cover. We were able to renovate the cover without replacing the system. We serviced the track system and restored it to full working order. The cover is now as good as new, and the project was carried out economically and with minimal disruption.
Grando pool cover installed with a ‘cave’ system
This was a custom-built indoor pool measuring 15m x 6m. The existing pool cover was 20 years old and had begun to malfunction. We removed the old cover and install a new ‘Grando’ cover that was designed and sourced according to the unique specifications.
The work was carried out while the pool was full of water. We used diving equipment to reattach the connecting slat to the drive roller— which was positioned at a 2-metre depth—and connect the new slats. Finally, we calibrated the external drive motor and handed the pool back to the client.
This highly complex job was completed in a single day. The pool did not need to be emptied, saving the client time and money and causing no disruption.
